I decided to start this blog as a way to keep friends and family updated on our adoption process. I'm also hoping that when our daughter gets older she will be able to read this and learn more about how she came to be part of our forever family. In future posts I'm planning to explain why we decided to adopt and tell about our journey up to this point, but for now I'll just say that we are so excited to be adopting An Rui. We received our referral on June 22, 2010 and will hopefully be travelling to China to get her in mid-September. She was born on Feb. 10, 2009 so she will be about 19 months old when we see her for the first time. It makes me sad that we will have missed so much of her life, but I know that God has orchestrated our journey and that His timing is perfect. What a blessing to know that precious daughter will be with us soon!
