I found this picture on somebody else's blog and it totally reflected how I'm feeling today! We only have 16 days until we travel to China and 19 or 20 days until we have Libby in our arms, but it feels like forever. I'm trying to stay busy getting everything organized for our trip and getting the house ready for our parents, but the days still feel long. I'm also feeling anxious that we haven't received an update on Libby yet even though we requested one over a month ago. We were told that we would have one in 1-2 weeks. Still no word from our agency on that. I just pray that Libby is doing well and that God is keeping her heart functioning well and protecting her from other complications. I know that Libby is the daughter that God chose for our family and that he will be faithful through every circumstance, even the difficult ones.
We've also had an incident at home tonight. It seems as though Jon has pulled a muscle in his upper leg. He's in a lot of pain and hasn't been able to get off the couch since it happened. If there's no improvement by tomorrow morning we'll have to take him to the doctor. It makes me nervous that he'll have difficulty walking when we leave for our trip. I'm praying that it's nothing serious and that it heals quickly.
