We finally got an update on Libby today. We didn't get a new picture like we were hoping, but we did find out that she weighs 22 lbs. now and she's about 28 inches tall. The orphanage staff also says that her heart condition is not affecting her daily life and that she's in good health. Also, they say she's smart and cute. (I already assumed she was :) It was a relief to hear that her health is good. I was afraid that since it took so long for us to get an update that maybe she wasn't doing well and they were afraid to tell us. I just can't believe that in less than 2 weeks we'll have her! I think I finally have just about everything we need for our trip. I still need to buy Libby a couple more clothing items, although I won't buy too much until we get her since I'm not sure what size she wears. I also need to get a few snack items to bring with us.
In other news Jon is recovering from his leg injury. It turns out that he tore his quadricep. He saw the sports medicine doctor today and he starts physical therapy tomorrow. The doctor thinks with aggressive therapy he may be off the crutches by the time we leave for China. I think he's faking this whole thing so I have to carry his baggage! (Just kidding, honey). I'm praying that Jon will be able to get around okay on our trip. He definitely won't be climbing the Great Wall, which he's very disappointed about, but hopefully he'll be able to participate in all the other sight-seeing trips.
